The animation was created as the opening fragment for video promotions of the Master Programme of Visual Anthropology at The Granada Centre.

Taking Muybridge movement studio of an Elephant, among all the bodies he studied and photographed, the elephant is the one that starts to appear during the repeated process of drawing. The form stars appear from the rules that measure his movement and maintain a rational control of it through vertical and horizontal lines, which also act as reference points towards what is in constant movement, in constant change as the figure starts to appear from these grids of lines. To break these lines? The Cartesian grids convey a European way of thinking and trying to understand the world and the living ones. A drawing that mixes loose gestures and straight lines that are interviewing themselves together to give the illusion of a heavy elephant is a constant process.
