“Nükak Still Waiting”, is a documentary and mythological story that engages a part of the history of the Nükak indigenous community. Who they are, how they visualize the cosmic world and how traditional cultural practices are linked with nature. It intends to show how their cultural practices, respectful to their environment maintain balance with nature and their own cosmic world.
Actually their traditional territory has changed drastically and they can no longer live in it. This created a profound unbalance in their cosmic world, separating them from their traditional cultural practices.
The research was engaged in cooperation with the Nükak indigenous community in the north face of the Amazon. They were the ones who decided what to be told and narrated to the industrial occidental people living in their same actual territory.
